About the Fold:
This is a fold that is hard to master but even harder to ruin. Similar to The Puff Fold, The Blanket Fold is made for the pocket square wearer who doesn’t have time for intricate folds or learning pocket square origami. The Blanket Fold brings a touch of sophistication to a simple choice in fold.
The action of the fold is similar to what you do when picking up a blanket sometimes; grab it by the middle and simply drape it over. No time to fold; you have places to be and other things to do.
That being said, it looks interesting in the pocket if done right. Try to leave a nice little fold at the front to produce an interesting pleat. This fold would benefit from bold designs, and suits silk very well. This pocket square fold is made to showcase the unique pocket square, rather than skill of the fold itself.
The Blanket Fold is ideal for casual occasions, but ill-suited to formal attire. This fold used with a blazer speaks of accomplishment and gives an air of genteel confidence. Use it wisely.
