About the Fold:
Some pocket squares have such a beautiful edge that it needs to be shown off as much as possible. The Croissant Fold is made for these pocket squares. A series of pleats going in 45 degree angles looks stunning with the fold itself holding that rectangle shape similar to The Presidential or The Classic Fold. This fold is difficult to perfect, but worth the practice to have it look amazing.
The complex Croissant Fold is really showing off the skill of the wearer. It is ideal for social occasions. With this fold, you’re not simply wearing a pocket square to bring some colour to your wardrobe. You’re going one step further and showing off the creativity of folding that square in an intricate manner.
By using this fold in a social setting, you will be the envy of anyone else in the room with a pocket square. You will be looked at as a brilliant and creative mind by anyone which which you hold a conversation. You can wear this fold with a degree of nonchalance; it’s no big deal that you went to the trouble of folding your pocket square this way. It was barely an inconvenience.
The croissant fold is great for social occasions and best used with plain fabrics that have featured edges. A rolled edge with a cross-stitch would be a great choice, for example. Beware the onslaught of friends asking how you did that, and be prepared to show off the fold technique over dinner.
